I got tired of paying for 10 different SaaS tools to manage the same life. So I built one. AlphaOS is a self-hosted, fully modular personal OS — budget tracking, encrypted vault, AI assistant, journal, business invoicing, family sharing — all under one roof, all mine, zero subscriptions.
My personal and business data was scattered across Notion, 1Password, YNAB, Wave, and a handful of other paid tools. Every month the bill grew. Every app had its own quirks. None of them talked to each other.
Built a unified self-hosted platform from scratch using Laravel 12 + React 19 + Inertia.js. Designed each feature as an independent module so they could be turned on or off without affecting the rest. The financial engine handles income, expenses, budgets, and forecasting. The vault encrypts secrets at rest. The journal supports structured entries with tagging and mood tracking.
Replaced 10+ subscriptions with a single self-hosted system. Full ownership of all data — nothing leaves the server. AI-powered assistant queries across modules without any third-party context leakage.
Eliminated all recurring SaaS costs. Gained complete control over my data. The platform now powers my daily workflow, finances, and business operations.
